The investigation of the relation between glaciers and climate is not part of a formal project. My work with Will Harrison (University of Fairbanks, AK) triggered my interest in the topic, and yielded some surprising and unexpected results.

• (2010) Analysis of Alpine glacier length change records with a macroscopic glacier model
• (2009) Transient response of idealized glaciers to climate variations

Length changes of various glaciers can be explained with one single climate history that was derived from the glacier length changes!
