Glacier dynamics is my main research topic. Many of my projects target aspects of the dynamics of glaciers and ice sheets.

Measured deformation of a 630 m deep borehole through the Greenland ice sheet. From this we see that the ice slides 50 m per year over the bed, while the surface moves 70 m.
