I am a Senior Lecturer with the Geographic Information Visualization and Analysis (GIVA) unit of the Geographic Information Science Center at the Department of Geography of the University of Zurich.

My academic background is in geography and cartography and I received my PhD from the Technical University Munich.

I also have work experience in Industry, and worked for Orell Fuessli Kartographie AG, Bernmobil, and Esri Suisse.

The research topics I am interested in are at the interface of geographic information science, mobile cartography, cognitive geography, visual analytics, and human-computer interaction. As a member of the mobility community of the Digital Society Initiative of the University of Zurich I investigate mobility related research questions.
